Studio Policy

Lesson attendance

  • Students are expected to attend their scheduled lessons punctually and regularly.
  • If a student is unable to attend a lesson, advance notice is required. Please notify us 7 days in advance to reschedule the lesson, subject to availability.
  • Same day cancellations for reasons other than sickness will not be refunded.

Payment

  • Lesson fees will be due on the first day of each month. Payments can be made in cash or e-Transfer.
  • Lessons are that cancelled on the same day or without warning will not be refunded.
  • Lessons will not be conducted if fees are outstanding for more than two consecutive months.
  • 24 hours notice is required in the case of sickness, or lessons will not be refunded.

Practice

  • Regular practice is crucial for progress. Students are encouraged and expected to practice consistently between lessons.
  • Recommended practice duration will be discussed based on the student's level and goals.

Materials and repertoire

  • Students are responsible for purchasing the necessary lesson materials, such as books and sheet music, as recommended by the instructor.
  • Repertoire selection will be based on the student's skill level, interests, and the instructor's guidance.

Code of conduct

  • Students are expected to show respect, courtesy, and professionalism towards their instructor and fellow students.
  • Any disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in a warning or, in severe cases, termination of lessons.

Termination and refunds

  • Refunds for prepaid lessons will be provided in exceptional circumstances and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • The student has the right to terminate lessons within 48 hours of a scheduled lesson. If not given the required notice, the scheduled lesson will not be refunded.
